PowerGear Leveling system on Embark not working

We are out in Sedona and the PowerGear automatic leveling system is not working on the Embark. The fluid level has been checked and extra added to the tank just in case and same result. The manual found online does not show anything for any of the light patterns I see. Also tried manual mode and the jacks will not go down either.

- Start engine
- Turn on PowerGear system
- System check lights flash, low voltage comes on and goes away
- Left light flashes and stays flashing
- Press Auto
- Left and wait flash, with on/off solid and auto solid
- Jacks don't go down
- After a bit left and right, and center logo flash (typical pattern for level complete)

Remove power from the controller to see it resets. Also, parking brake on?

I tried that by turning off the entire coach, engine, disconnect from shore power, and disconnect chassis batteries with the switch by driver seat. I did not try opening up panel in dash or disconnecting at batteries.

did you see the Troubleshooting flow chart?
Not sure if it'll help, but it might be useful to just do all of the corrective actions.

I actually had not found that document and the last page does give some possible things to check but all of the solutions are either replacing the pump or a solenoid, neither of which is possible at the current camp ground on a weekend

You can reset the unit by pulling the control panel (the control panel with the indicators that you control the levelers from) and unplugging it for a few seconds. Plug it back in and you're good to go. I've seen posts where Bigfoot recommended this very thing. It may sound a bit involved but it's really quite simple. Four screws, undo the plug, plug it back in, and you're done. Master reset.

FYI, my Greyhawk also has Bigfoot levelers. I've never used this procedure personally, but another Greyhawk owner here in town has had to use it a couple of times and has been successful in getting his levelers operational again. Hope it works for you too.

I confirmed there is no power to the control unit when using the main chassis battery disconnect switch at the driver seat, so not sure this will help.

The controller is not the key pad. The controller is probably mounted to the bottom of the floor centered in the storage compartment right in front of the rear axle. May even have a separate fuse in the chassis fuse panel.

The pump, tank and all cables I could find are running into the battery compartment on the drivers side. Would the controller be there?

No, as I mentioned should be right in front of the rear axle mounted to the bottom of the floor.

Found it in the storage compartment forward of driver wheel just below the opening where all the control center wires go up by the bathroom. Unfortunately after a reset the result is the same.

Just left and wait flashing, and jacks don't move.

May be a bad controller then.

Yeah, since they are not open on the weekends I can't talk to them but the troubleshooting guide says replace wire harness, keypad and controller in that order. Wire harness although cheap would be a real pain, so might have to skip to keypad and controller.

Good luck getting it fixed, hopefully it will be something easy .

Update...

After much work with Lippert and the local shop, the pump and solenoids were replaced and still did not work. The control box was replaced (expensive) and leveling would work but required a lot of calibration and work. Now the emergency alarm goes off when making right hand turns and the float sensor needs to be replaced.
