Propane Supply Off RV tp Grill

Looking at either buying a propane supply line to my already in place propane Grill outlet or just bringing a reg size tank with hose kit or both on my 30X. I'm worried using grill off RV tank will run it down to quickly. Like having nice reserve on the what if I need for the other equipment on RV. Your experiences on that?
Now the kits to plug into the RV supply line I will not need a Regulator? The on board regulator will take care of it? I'm looking at Shinestar Products.

In my experience the propane last for ever even using the outside grill. The biggest user of the propane will be the furnace so if you are camping when it is warm the tank should last a long time. On top of the outside grill i also use a firepit plumbed into the rv. I used less than 2 30lb propane tanks all summer.

I've ran my grill, fridge, and some furnace for like 2weeks on my 7gal tank, I mainly boondock

The grill hardly used anything really. Pulling the regulator from my Weber Q was the best thing I ever did

I did just install an Extend A Stay fitting in my tank for even longer stays

Hope this helps

I have fed a blackstone and weber off a remote quick disconnect for years.
Yes you do remove the regulator on the BBQ and use the regulated line from the RV. propanegear.com has all the hookups if you can't source it locally.

I have my Weber off the RV main gas line (replaced the RVQ) and the propane lasts forever. I have 2x 30lbs tanks and when it comes time to replace them when they expire, I will just install 2x 20lbs tanks.

One regulator, not 2

I run my blackstone and propane fire pit off the motorhome’s onboard propane tank, in addition to running the fridge while on the road, and only use about 1/4 tank or so for a weekend.
