Pulled the trigger

Want to say thank you to all the good folks on this forum! We just purchased our Jayco Seneca 37FS and did so after months and months of research and looking at all the options out there for super c's. This site was partially reason for doing so. Happy trails!

I too made the decision to buy my unit based in part on the information I got on this site.

Congratulations and best wishes on your new toy. Did you buy a unit off the lot or do you have a three month wait while they build one for you?

Happy trails.

We have the three month wait in order to get the exterior paint (black and blue) and dark sofa as we have kids and dogs that will be traveling with us. I asked specifically about the water tank collapsing (past years owners) and the difficulty new owners are having in fueling due to the collapsing water tank. Thank you forum. Spoke with the manager in charge of manufacturing. Was assured that the water tank is now secured to prevent this issue. Not being a cynic, but glad for the warranty when/if the issue is not properly resolved. As we have had more than one boat both price point and not, have found that all manufacturers have issues. Just not excellent forums!

Hey FloSen,

Welcome to your next "journey in this thing we call life". Its truly a ride to remember.
3 months sounds long, but there is a lot to do. Wading through these past posts is one of them and it sounds like you've already been doing that.

Try to find a good campground to stay close to your dealership for the first couple of days. Lots of the questions, you don't even know you have, yet are easily answered or minor things corrected by the shake down cruise.

Like a boat, many of the parts and equipment are subcontracts to the assembly of your coach. It may take a year for everything to get well meshed. And just like a boat, a year old coach, works a lot better than a brand new, untested and untried unit.

Enjoy the ride and the advernture!

Just want to say thank you all for the kind words. Building my PDI and the list of add ons that will be necessary to improve functionality. DW works as a buyer and deals with quality control issues from suppliers. Cant wait for the inspection. Makes me smile.

Welcome to the Seneca family. We picked up our 2018 Seneca TS this past January. Adding modifications is half the fun and this forum will give you a lot of ideas.

Enjoy.

Congratulations

Congratulations on the new truck. The wait is long, but I passed the time by going back through the forum and reading all the posts. Before we left the lot I had my tires to 85 psi and tape over the holes of the side mirrors. Enjoy the new Seneca and the adventures it takes you on.

Congrats... If you are like many of us other Seneca owners... it will be a grand new adventure... We are now 3-months into our extended camp out - having a great time.

I also am suffering through the wait for a 37TS. Talked to dealer and they got me a update that it is coming off the line March 22nd. Ordered on January 30th
So that’s just over 7 weeks if it doesn’t take to long for delivery from Elkhart to Des Moines I think it will be in a lot sooner than the 12 weeks the originally told me. Anyone got any suggestions on a nice campground with full hookups to shake it down in Des Moines for a night or 2 before we drive it the 3 hrs home.

Congratulations, these are great units and you are getting it in time to enjoy the whole summer.

The Iowa state fair grounds are located very close to Des Moines RV. Not sure when they open but certainly worth a look. It is inexpensive and convenient to the dealer if that is where you are getting it.

Happy camping.
