Putting RV antifreeze in water lines

My Greyhawk 31fs has a utility center with two dials that can be set to control the water flow into and out of the water lines in the coach. I used the dials to empty the water lines. Now I am trying to set the dials to "syphon" antifreeze back into the empty lines. I have tried everything I know to do....I can't make this work. Help is needed.

Take the washer with the cone shaped screen out of the place where you connect the siphon hose. Turn that washer around so that the pointed side is facing into the MH. This pushes against the anti siphon check valve. Connect the siphon hose . Place the other end of the hose in the gallon jug of anti-freeze. Turn on the water pump. See if that works. Don’t forget to reverse the washer when you are finished.

Yes...I open the faucets and nothing happens. I also reversed the cone filter at the city water connection. I hear the pump run but NOTHING happens.

Usually, if the pump is running it's trying to prime the system. Nothing is being drawn through the tube from the AF bottle? If it isn't drawing in AF, there's either a valve not switched or is defective, bad pump or it's being drawn into the fresh water tank or HWH.

I can see the AF jug....nothing is going out. I used the pump to pump out all of the fresh water and empty the lines...I don't think it is the pump. The control knobs on the utility panel seem "funky".....you can turn them whatever way and they do not lock into any of the setting points....is that the way they are supposed to operate?

Sounds like a bad valve. Can you draw water from your FW tank?

There are two knobs (pointers)....settings 1,2 and 3 on the left pointer, and 4,5 and 6 on the right. The knobs turn from left to right, but there is no lock point for the settings...you can just turn them as your please.

Oh, well that may be ok then. I thought you were turning them around and around with no resistance.

if the fresh tank has water in it, the faucets draw with no problem. Of course, the fresh tank is empty now?

I have bypassed the hot water tank, and all of the valves are closed (I think)...there is just no siphon action at all.

Either a valve is defective or not in the correct position. Most likely, the latter.

I will get the pics this evening and post tomorrow. Thanks. If I connect to the city fill....that would be pressurized and no siphon is needed. If I run on the fresh tank it has to siphon. How does it know to siphon from the city fill?

City fill is pressurized from the campground, much like your residential water. The pump pulls from the FW tank only and pressurizes the system.
