Question on used Redhawk 22C.

I've been thinking about getting a small C in place of my current Jay Flight 23RB Travel Trailer.

I live in Virginia, but found a 2018 22C with 13,493 miles on it. It's the Chevrolet chassis. I do prefer the Chevy chassis. The price is $50,444.

I will trade in my trailer, and as usual the amount being allowed for my trailer is lower than what I want. $10,000.

The biggest problem is the distance. It's a long way to pull a trailer and then decide it's not for me.

Any thoughts on the price or the 22C?

We looked at everything, from trailers up to Class A buses, and decided on the short Class C. I'm really happy with it, and it fills all our needs. I guess it depends on what type of travels you do. The short rig makes it easy to get in and out of any parking area, and has plenty of space for the two of us and poochie.

Regarding price, try searching on RVTrader.com, you should find a cross section of prices to compare.

Just for your reference on price. I was just at the Pittsburgh RV show today. Please don't quote me for sure, but I think that there was a 2020 22C there for $58999 brand new.

Atlee, Have a look at this NADA site. I brought it up without any special options, but with 14,000 miles on it. You can adjust the value if you know what it has in it.

This is only a guide.

Another quick thought and a suggestion. If you like the floorplan of the 22C, take a second look at my rig, the 24B. They basically are the same layout, only the bed slides out in the 22C, where the bed and dinette slides on my rig. Gaining that extra space when parked, is HUGE in my opinion. Plus, like you asked in this thread, both seats swivel in the 24B (but it's a Ford):

It would probably be a few more dollars, but it's something to consider if you're planning on owning it for a long time.

I like the idea of a short C. I just have to make sure this really short one is big enough.

So far, I've only found 37 on RV Trader with a bunch as far west as CA. And some are new. The new ones range from the 80's down to $57,500.

There was just this one used one, and it is $49,999 plus $445 for "processing" fees.

Being retired, every penny helps. Also, a 2018 with 13k miles on it still has some basic (36 months/36,000 miles) Chevy warranty left and a lot of the drive chain warranty (60 mths/60,000 miles) left.

I've seen a new 2019 fir $57900+. I do like a price that has a 4 as the first number, if the coach is in great shape and doesn't have a ton of miles.

I do like the 24B. Unfortunately the cost is a little much for me, and it's so new, there aren't enough used ones on the market.

I do tend to like Chevy chassis sine the cab is 6 inches longer than a Ford. More foot room.

There selling price is about $1400 dollars more than the average retail price when adding in some items that I figured were actual options.
