Does anybody know whether they cut the`top out of the chassis or do they just sit the coach on top of the cab of the truck? I'm trying to find where the water is coming in.

Welcome to the forum.
Not much help but... I had a class-B (not Jayco, however) on a Ford chassis that had a storage area above the driver & passenger seats. It appeared that the roof was intact to just behind the dome light area. But, of course, it was all covered so there was no way to be sure and it wasn't a Jayco.
If you have a dome light, you may be able to remove it and see what is forward of that area.
Jayco has been helpful with providing information regarding the construction of their trailers. They may be able to help you, too. Have your VIN# handy if you call them.
Good luck.
