You can likely have the replacement tinted if you want it done.

WOW! I have had my rear (emergency) window come unlatched and bang and flap in and out on the road, never fell off but there is just an open ribbon hinge holding it on and it easily could have. Fixed that with a Velcro tie. Like @norty1 said, easy to get it tinted at a car window tint shop.

I won't say impossible, but I will say I spent 25 years LE in a very popular scenic area with over 1 million visitors a year and NO window thefts.
