Redhawk 26M murphy bed - suggestions needed?

We just bought our 1st RV - Redhawk 26M with the automatic Murphy bed. The mattress is in the same fabric as the cab over bunk, but is attached to the wall mount/platform with screws, so you can't put a sheet on it. Any suggestions other than sleeping bags? Does anyone own one? It was delivered Saturday. Thanks!

I unscrewed the mattress, slid the piece of wood out of the sewed on sleeve, shortened the wood strip about 15", put it back in the sleeve and screwed it back on with the screws closer together. This allows room to tuck in a fitted sheet. We then sewed the top sheet a few inches up from the bottom edge of the fitted sheet. Working so far.....
