Redhawk 26xd generator

Our generator (4000) seems to only power the microwave, refrigerator and A/C units. The 120v plugs do not get power. Seems like the plugs should be hot also. I'm assuming there would be no power to the microwave etc if the generator circuit breaker was tripped. Ideas?

I suspect you have some GFCI receptacles in your trailer tripped. Sometimes they don't like the Generator connections. If you find them tripped look up how to bond your generator 120VAC output to fix this problem.

Do they work when on shore power?

The only such plug is in the bathroom and it's functioning fine on shore power, as are all other plugs. After disconnecting shore power and cranking up the generator, the plugs do not have power.

Transfer switch issue, quite possibly. Re-Check the breakers on the generator (cycle them on-off-on). Check for a reset switch on your transfer switch or a blown fuse on it...

Thanks for the replies. I cycled the breaker on the generator, but no change. Now the question is where the heck did they put the transfer switch. The breakers and 12v fuses are in a panel under the bed. I'm thinking the transfer switch may be inside the bed enclosure that has top access via a screwed on wood cover. Would the transfer switch have its own fuses? I don't see any fuses referring to the transfer switch in the panel box.

The transfer switch should be close to where the shore power enters the coach and the breaker panel and no the transfer switch does not have it's own breaker or fuse. I doubt your problem is the transfer switch, if about a minute or less after you start the geny you hear a click and you have power to the micro and tv the switch is working.

Is you MH shore power 30 amp or 50 amp? I'm guessing 50 amp, which means you have two power legs. Everything on one leg is working and the other leg is not. If this is the case then I would check both the generator and transfer switch, you may have a loose wire connections, or a fuse issue on the generator.

The Redhawk is a 30 amp coach and the 4000 geny is a single pole.

Guess that kills a bad power leg
