Don't know what you have read but there certainly are issues with the Redhawk. At least with the 23XM model.

I'm almost thinking someone forgot to install my cable in on my unit. Any info you can give me would be great.
Again, I have a Greyhawk but I'll bet $1 that it will be the same.

Cable *input* is indeed on the generator/battery side of mine. That one cable jack by the electrical output is an input.

I drag the RG6 cable from the park connection and hook it up to that input jack. Then you head inside and turn OFF the booster (press the button, light goes out). Then back to the TV, switch it from Antenna to Cable and do a channel search.

If no channels show up, then kick TV back to "Antenna" mode and do a channel search again.

Don't forget to turn booster back on to watch Over The Air (OTA) channels.

Good luck. If you have cable at home, and can drag some RG6 out there, I'd try that. Cable (like WiFi) at the campgrounds we've been at is pretty bad.

Haven't picked it up yet, but saw that it is winterized. Dealer offers 2 nights of sleepover fun to shake it down, so not sure how that works...but...it is going to be in upper 30's. Already got an electric mattress pad!! Will let you know what happens with cool living for a few nights!

We attach the cable in the same compartment where the power cable is (remember to turn off the antenna amplifer).

On my Redhawk 29XK, cable input is right next to power cable in power cable access compartment. On patio side of Rig I think it is a output for a outside TV.

I have the redhawk and the only coaxial connector I see is in the compartment marked low point drain on entry door side of coach. There is also an AC outlet there as well. Not sure if its the place for the cable or not. Have never tried to use it. I have the unit since August and been out several times but never tried it. Not much in the way of TV watching. Seems Jayco made it an after thought for installation of an input cable connection.

I'd disagree - the cable input is on the same side as all of the other connections. On our older motorhome, power was on one side, water in the back and cable TV on the opposite side.

They generally put it in the power compartment as that's where the cable access point is.

We purchased a 2016 Redhawk 23XM a year ago and absolutely love it .
No issues at all. Love the size and floor plan.

We bought the Redhawk 29XK also, and sofar we love it, as was stated, didn't want ll the extras, and so far we've noticed that we dont need the levelers, the Jayco brand is (in ou=r opion) one of the best brands, we pulled a Jayco 26 Ft. fifth wheel all over this country, never ever had a single problem with it, owned it for well over 20 years.
