4. I have been pondering replacing the outdoor faucet for some time but cannot figure out how to access the plumbing underneath. The faucet is WAY too short for the location. Actually the sink is too long for the space, should be about half the size but I'm not changing that until I need to change the counter tops.

13. Yes, this mattress is horrible. Causing me shoulder pains. Can you provide some more info on the one you replaced it with? Foam? Innersprings? Cost?

24. Not sure what this was for or what problem this may have solved. Our basement storage, though small, is fine.

25. Why? Were you having issues?
#4. I had the dealer do it when they replaced my outdoor stove top. That’s how they gained access to the faucet Plumming.

#13. I bought a custom mattress off mattress insider .com. We used a discount code from KYD you tubers, the mattress is better than anything I’ve EVER slept on. I’m indeed of back surgery and I wake up better than I went to sleep! It’s a Park Meadow pocketed coil mattress.

#24. If you open the rear, largest, storage compartment you have, in the rear of the RV, look straight ahead at that back wall, it’s only quarter inch Louan! After two years of throwing items in there I finally went right through it! Also behind that wall houses duck work for heating and other various electrical wires. So I removed it and replaced it with five eights plywood. Now I can throw things in and out without destroying the rear part of the compartment.

#25. Kitchen cabinet is about 32 inches wide, and the bottom of it is also quarter inch Louan, no support underneath!! It finally gave way!! I noticed I could see the rear of the outdoor speaker. So I remove the outdoor speaker, cut about 8-2 x 4 blocks, stuck my arm in it and supported the whole bottom in the middle and around edges and brought it back, screwed the blocks in place from the top, and then put a piece of half-inch plywood on top for good measure. If you put regular every day items in there sooner or later it’s going to give away. Can’t believe there was no support!!!!! See photo. BE CARFUL THE STOVE AND FURNACE GAS LINES RUN UNDER THIS CABINET! Measure 6 times before you screw down. I used a tape measure and my iPhone camera.

Can you point me to the outside mount you used for the TV?

Thanks.

I used something very similar to this. It comes with 2 wall mounts so you can quickly detach it and move it to outside. I mounted mine right above Compartment that houses the 120 outlet and an auxiliary cable connection. Mine is a little different it doesn’t have a locking pull chain, it has a clip to keep the arm from swinging around when it’s in the bedroom position during travel.

These USB ports are easy to install. I Drilled 1 1/4” hole (I believe), next to any 12V light fixture switch and tap off that 12V .
Awesome thanks for the reply and info!!

Greyhawk 31 DS modifications

I haven't done much.

1. Replaced front TV with an Insignia model of the same size (32"I think) when the original TV stopped working.

2. Added second 12 V house battery in a compartment 2 drawers to the front of the original battery drawer in parallel to the original. The original battery did not have enough power for boon docking for very long.

3. Added a DVD player in a small shelf near the main TV.

4. Added a series of 1" x 3" felt hanging strips along the motorhome chassis and in the engine compartment. I soak the felt in bobcat pee to keep rodents from chewing on the wires. The bobcat pee and the felt strips are available from PreditorPeeStore.com. Mice have cost me a bundle in wiring repairs. Bobcat pee was recommended by the Ford dealer who fixed the wiring.

I got the bin hooks from Amazon. I used double sided tape to attach the latches. The tape i used was, I believe, Scotch brand. I was looking for 3M brand, Scotch was what they had at Lowes.

I cut off a length as long as the latch, and then trimmed it the same shape as the latch. I then pressed it on the latch, and then pressed the latch where I wanted it on the side of the RV.

Don't know if I needed to, but I refrained from using the latches for a couple of days. Since then, they have performed fine.

For those floorplans without sliding windows, any modifications to create cross-air ventilation? very helpful for hot summer and blowing away cleaning detergent smell quickly.

So after getting hit by oncoming truck and loosing my driver side mirror I decided to add some side markers to the mirrors and both sides of the RV.

Predator pee....Ok I will bite. Does it seem to be working? I don't appear to have them inside the coach yet but there is evidence of them around my engine.

Can you give me a kick start on installing the mirror marker lights?
I have also been hit in the mirror once by a passing truck.

Source of 12 V. I assume that you connect somehow to the main light switch?
How do you get through the mirror arm?
Marker light source?

So I've purchased the LED marker lights at local truck stop but I think you can get them anywhere.

So running the wires thru the arm is a little challenging but doable. There is a plastic cover that tells you not to remove it but no big deal if you will. Its not that easy, I just managed to open one side of the cover and it was enough to pull the wires. Then I took the door panel off and ran the wires thru existing bundle of wires to inside the side panel. Not inside the cab. There is lots of room to run wires on the side of the panel to the front of the car.

I tapped into parking lights because I want the on all the time. You can tap into your signal wires but the will only be on when you signal.

I will try to take some pictures and post them soon.

You just need to take time and enjoy it....don't rush it.

I like your recliners. I have a 2007 Greyhawk 31SS. I would like to remove the J sofa and replace them with wall hugger recliners that could double as single beds if needed. However. When I took measurements the slide platform is only 31" deep and I would not have enough depth to support recliners. I have also considered removing the booth dinette and replacing it with a table and chairs. One option would be to reverse the location of the table so that it resided where the sofa is and the recliners would be where the booth is.

Another option is to attach plywood over the slidout floor where the sofa is to extend the slideout so that it is wide enough to support the recliners and keep the relative position of everything the same as it is today.

Anyone have thoughts or suggestions? Thanks, Larry

I'm really curious about the predator pee as well. I've had damage from mice or ground squirrels, or ? in my Polaris Ranger and my Miata. Fortunately, they only clogged the air intakes on both, with no further damage.
Thanks, Bob

Me too. How do you use it and how often?
