Redhawk Plugs down the road

I want to enable my inverter down the road. As all my 120 outlets seem to turn off going down the road. This mystery cable could be behind my inverter? Behind my outlets are nothing. Just typical three wires. Hot, white, ground. Help me please?

On the Ford-based Class C's generally the only outlets powered by the inverter are where the front TV is plugged in and possibly a bedroom TV. The rest of your 120-volt outlets need either shore power or the generator to supply them.

And the front TV has a special type of outlet that shuts off when the chassis engine is running. It can be easily defeated to allow rear passengers to view the TV going down the road, but the driver has to promise they won't be distracted by it!

In many motorhomes the inverter powers only the front TV/entertainment system and that AC outlet is wired with an ignition-disconnect relay which can be bypassed.

None of mine work. We can't charge any devices with any of our outlets.

Quick instructions? I can probably do it in parking lot before we head out?

The inverter in our Greyhawk only powers *one* outlet and that's the TV. I did follow the instructions on cutting the purple wire and it worked on our coach.

I did invest in a few extra smaller inverters to power other devices from the cab outlets.

Make sure the inverter is turned on. I have a switch on the main house control panel that turns it on and off.

That's the way I understand they come. There are threads on here that explain it and some info on how to outsmart it.

edit: I'm late to this thread! LOL

Many feel that whoever decided what outlets would work off the inverter had not only had never camped before, but had also just polished off a 6-pack before creating the design.

After enabling the outlet behind the TV, we added a 2 outlet to 6 outlet converter, and now charge our electronics there while on the road, and run the pod coffee maker and crock pot.

I immediately added a 6 as well. Now my movie server is running down the road for the kids. When I get time I'll wire the bedroom one too.

It's done based on the inverter output and battery bank. Our SENECA had the front TV, rear TV and micro all wired. It was 1,800 watts and we had 4 house batteries.
