Regular tv or Satellite tv

Ok I have been thinking of buying Satellite dish for our mh. Not sure which one to purchase. I will not be in the mh all year long. I have seen plans to pay as you go and so forth. Would like to know what others have and which set up you have and what is the best dish to purchase and use ? All the information I can get before I purchase would be great. Would like to watch some baseball and other sports and to catch the news and weather report for the area, Thank you for your help and input.

Do a search here for Sat TV, Dish vs Directv, or just TV and there are numerous threads some, that have just been posted in the last few weeks. This is a constant topic.

If you have satellite at home just go with the same service. I have Direct TV and installed a dish on the motor home roof that finds the 3 high def satellites automatically with the push of one button. Love it! When we go camping I just grab our DVR receiver from the house and take it with us.

When I first got my rig I tried the over the air digital TV stations. That was hit and miss to get what we wanted. In fact, we once were camping in the desert and tuned in a super bowl game. Unfortunately we could only receive a spanish broadcast station. The family did have a blast at watching it in spanish though. We were yelling "ole" along with the broadcasters. Will never forget that experience.
