Remove sofa
Remodeling my 2007 Jayco Seneca. Need to remove my sofa to replace the carpet. I have located the four bolts in the base plate inside. I have located the two bolts on the outside (outside wall underneath). I cannot locate the two bolts (that should be coming through the floor) in the cargo hold. Are the two bolts attached to the gear arm. I attached a photo below. Can anyone please explain? Thank you-Bayougirl

Can you see them with the slide extended?

Remove sofa
I can see all four bolts on the inside. I can only see the two outside wall bolts that come through the floor. All other bolts underneath attach to the slide gear arm.

Slide is extended. I am a full timer so we aren’t traveling while I do my project.

See if the nut turns and the carriage bolt stays. Then remove carefully the sofa and put the nut back on. Once the sofa's removed tighten that nut till it sinks in the wood and get a couple of new nuts for refasten the sofa.

Remove sofa
The carriage bolts that are forward are the problem. They are both turning with the nut. These are the two I cannot locate to put a backup on.

Just thinking out loud and we sold our Seneca recently but could you unbolt the slide rails just to access the sofa sleeper bolts?
But wait, from the pictures we still have isn't the sofa sleeper on a 'platform' on top of the slideout?

I attached another photo. The distance between the bolts on each side of the sofa is 21”. When you look at the photo the bolts looke like they would be inside the white panel but I cannot locate any access point to the panels.

If you pry up on washer or nut as you turn it, it will back off. The head on bolt will jam against floor. That's what I had to do.

The bolts might be under the black tarp stuff. Use a magnetic stud finder what they use for metal studs. You also can try to feel your way through the black tarp.

God Bless you! I got the sofa out. FYI, I am a 67 year old female that is full of metal from neck down, right hip is metal and I had breast cancer 6mos ago. Doing this remodel by myself. Couldn’t have done this part without y’alls help. THANK YOU for your kindness.

Glad you accomplished the task at 67 years young. If you still can do mechanical jobs at 167 then it means you have Eternal Life...lol. If we seniors wouldn't have an RV we might get bored. 5 months of winter is to long.

ALJO, I need to know if there are any slide issues with replacing the (very nasty) ugly shag carpet in the bedroom (Jayco Seneca 35GS) with the vinyl plank flooring. I have been told I need slide slickers on the flush slide in living area, but there is no way to put them under the bedroom slide. Several people have told me they did this with no problems. Any help is appreciated.

For me I usual take a look at the all-round situation and find a solution to do the job. So far I haven't worked on your particular RV. Laminate Flooring with underlay would be about 9/16" thick. Most slides have room to play with special if for example carpet is removed. Slides itself have an adjusting procedure for example when one side is low.
High pole rug seems to me high enough for replacing with Laminate flooring with underlay. I always say: Where there is a will, there is also a solution. When I see the project my mind already sees the solution.
Maybe some people on this forum has done a similar project as yours in a similar model and model year. Maybe take some pictures of the modelling situation and post them.
