Repairing Seneca steps

I saw another thread about this but cannot find it now. So I am posting these photos and description for those out there who are having this problem

My inside step treads were splitters my and looked pretty bad as you can see. I cut the edge away and used only the rubber tread material. Yes found a stair nosing at Lowes. A 48 section for $14.00. Cut to length and held down with three countersunk screws.

Sorry about the sideways photos. Doing this on my phone and cant figure out how to rotate them

Same thing happened to us except I also trimmed around the top with the same material

I installed gritted safety tape on the edges of the entry steps and the top landing to prevent slipping. I slipped off one of the step edges and fell once.
