Questions to people who have replaced the Clairion VX401 system that was included on many of the Jayco Greyhawk (and probably other) models.
1. What unit did you replace it with?
2. How many of the features that were part of the Clarion were you able to retain?
a. Sirrus/XM?
b. Bluetooth
c. Full time rear camera and turn signal activated side cameras?
d. Ability to play DVD's thru the coach speakers and to the coach TV?
e. Hands free link to your cell phone?

I have been talking with a local shop and they think they may have ability to do this and retain all the features, but curious what kind of luck others have had.

Where I use the satellite radio extensively is while on the road. It's been wonderful to be able to tune into a channel and listen to it uninterrupted for as long as you want. Once parked we use the radio very little.

The Clarion is junk. There is nothing intuitive about it. I've learned to live with it. Hooked up separate Blueray players for the TV's. The dealer seems to know less about it than I do.

Search on a recent post from Mike7311. He replaced his stereo and attached a link with a excellent video on step by step installation. This might give you a good starting point. I know I will be following his advice and upgrading sometime soon.

I copied his link to his video below

My Clarion has not worked since day one(2015 UL Precept). I had it checked at the dealer because it kept turning off while we were travelling. I was told that the unit needed to be charged, even though it is plugged in at the storage facility. I can't have the gps on because it shuts off at irregular times. I'm not sure what to do but wait until someone comes up with a better idea.

The Jensen unit in my unit is passable as a radio. The Nav part makes my Fórd Nav system look incredible, and I really loathe that system. The second zone dvd functionality just flat didn't work as advertised from the factory. My dealer tried to fix it before my big trip, and they made it worse. An audio shop who restored some functionality while also installing my cell booster said the manner of wiring was "creative"....

My dealer told me they fixed it, I asked them to show me. I then showed them what I told the service manager and now they have it again to trace wires....

I have only owned our Jayco a few days but the Jensen does a good job of streaming music through blue tooth from my Android phone. When ever I enter the RV and turn the power on, my favorite music channel on the phone starts playing.
