Replace dinette

We have dinette seating in our Class C Melbourne. It is not very comfortable. We are thinking about replacing with a sofa sleeper or recliners. Any suggestions?

Try: recpro.com Their products are excellent and very reasonably priced.

Do a search on this forum. People have definitely switched to recliners and some have posted pictures.

If your 2017 dinette is like the one in my Greyhawk, then the foam is too weak to support an adults weight. Do you bottom the foam out on the wood? That's how mine was. I replaced the foam in both the dinette and the couch with a higher rated foam and it's much better now. I took it to an automotive upholstery guy and the job was not cheap. The stock foam is fine for kids, but not adults.

X2 - I ordered high density marine foam of the identical sizes and stuffed the cushions myself. Even so, my cost of foam was a shocking $205. BUT, IT SITS VERY WELL. And.....No bottoming out !!

My wife made cushions the same size from foam and brown leatherette stuff. We put them under the factory cushions for a more comfy sit. We can also use them for the 3 year old grandson as floor cushion in case he fall out of bed on the dinette.

2" of a high density foam under the original cushion makes a great improvement. Don't remember the price but it was under $100.00.

I'm lucky, I have a wife that loves to sew. Making custom seat covers with the right weight foam is right in her skill set. She is already planing when we finally buy a class C to bring her sewing machine along for sewing projects while on the go.
