Replace gas cap with one that locks

Good morning. Has anyone replaces their gas cap with one that locks? I have a 2017 Greyhawk29mv. I purchased a cap from Amazon that was suppose to fit a Ford E450, was to big. I had to send it back. The size of the diameter of the gas tube going to the tank is to narrow for the one I purchased. The dealer doesn't have anything. Any help would be appreciated.Jim

Take your cap to Auto Zone, Pep-Boy or one of the other auto parts stores and match it.

Jopopsy, did you buy this for a E450? it is not listed as a engine type to check for at amazon.

Yep. I’ve used it on 3 E450s so far.

They stopped listing the e450 for 2015. But we know nothing has changed up till 2020. For 2015 the cap i recommended is the listed one if you want it to lock.

Is having gas stolen/siphoned out still an issue? We're around $2.30/gal and with oil prices dropping, it could go even lower.

Probably not. For me, my rig has always been in a storage lot so its just one of those things I do.

Yeah, for $10 why not. Gas here is over $3.

Better to put a screw in siphon hose preventer in the gas tube. Locking gas caps can be easily removed with a screw driver.

Enjoy the journey

I have a 2019 Greyhawk 29MV and I replaced my original gas cap with the 10510 and it fit and works perfectly.
