Replacement Batteries

My house batteries got fried due to a bad converter. I did quite a bit of research looking for the best bang for the buck. I considered changing to six volt golf cart batteries. That option would have required me to modify my battery rack, which I didn't want to do. I found that Exide makes a deep cycle Group 27 battery that has 105 AH rating. By installing four of these in the normal parallel configuration, I should get 420 AH capacity. This is very close to the capacity of four 6 volt golf cart batteries. I also noticed these batteries were quite a bit heavier than the ones I removed. I have had good service from Exide batteries in marine applications. I hope I get the same results in the RV world. The battery number is 27MDCST. I found them locally at Tractor Supply for $89.00 ea.

Wow, that seems like a lot of weight on the front end. You must do a lot of boon docking!
