Replacing Bargman Entry Door Lock

We have 2004 Jayco Granite Ridge 2700 DS Class C. The entry door lock isn't working. The codes stamped on the lock is 10-30-051, and on the inside door handle 10-30-040. The maker is Theodore Bargman. The door thickness is 1 1/2"; inside opening is 4 6/8" high and 4 7/8" wide.

It is our understanding Bargman is no longer in business and this particular lock isn't being made.

Need help finding a replacement. Thanks in advance.

Charlene, I Googled the Bargman lock you identified and found a few entries. I looked at a couple and they were out of date/sold. Suggest you try a RV dealer that maintains a good stock of parts. If they don't have it they may know what will replace it.

Thanks, Walt. I've tried the most local to me Jayco RV dealer (Richardsons) who took down all the details but after over 2 weeks I am still waiting for them to get back to me. Maybe if I had bought our MH from them, their service would be better. In any event, since my dealer is no longer in business locally, I guess I will contact Jayco in Indiana and see if I have better luck or as you suggest try another dealer. Thanks again

Mine is on its last leg on the Seneca.

Do the other locks fit exactly, covering the paint, etc?

Thanks.

When I purchased my 2004 GR a dead bolt lock was the only lock with a key. The door panel lock did not have a key. I removed the lock from the door. This an easy job. Cleaned it up and lubed all the working parts. Took it to a good lock smith and they keyed the lock and checked all the working parts and replaced a few worn parts. Cost me $15.00. A new replacement door lock cost a lot more. Hope this will help.
