road wind pushes Mirrors in, help

This is on a 99 Jayco class C 28' eagle, E450 chassis. as We drive, the air pressure pushes the mirrors in to the point their of no use. Is there a fix for this.http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/...101_093358.jpg

Is it the arm that folds in or just the head of the mirror that turns in with wind pressure?

Had the same mirrors and the same problem on a 1997 MH. The manufacturer admitted that they had a problem and replaced the mirrors with a different design. You could look at drilling a hole through the mount and mirror arm and trying to pin it.

Good luck.

tighten allen head screws

I have them so tight I was afraid they would break. I didn't think it made the arm joint any stiffer. There is a black plastic U piece the arm is held by, I think they may have shrunk over time and weather. They appear to be glued on. I have wedged a black zip tie between the arm and the black plastic u and it held for a few months, looking for a better fix.
