We installed one on our first MH but then removed the one from our second and have not added one to our third after weighing the advantages and disadvantages over the years.
We no longer have one because we often travel dirt and gravel roads close to our final destination and don't want the risk of rocks being kicked up by a possibly dragging rock guard at our towed.
