Rooftop A/C Problems
Just returned from our summer trip. Our rooftop A/C struggled to work while running off the genset. It would trip the breaker every 2-3 minutes. Occasionally, it would continue to run, but the compressor would not start. While connected to shore power, it ran pretty reliably. I say "pretty" because it did trip the breaker while on shore power once as well.
The same thing happened to us about two years ago while still under warranty. The service center felt they had identified the problem as a bad coil. Never explained why it would only occur while driving down the road on generator power. Unfortunately, we haven't had a good opportunity to test it again in the same conditions... 100 degrees outside and running for several hours straight.
Now that we had the same conditions, it continued to fail the same way.
Anybody ever experience anything like this?
