Sorry for the picture. Don't know why it turned upside down.

Our Alante came with a scratchy bedspread that was not aesthetically pleasing either but fitted on the end to provide a nice smooth look. After 2 trips of folding, storing, remaking bed every day with the scratchy spread we decided to chuck it and buy a pretty and colorful, soft and functional spread like we would use at home.
We make our bed every morning at home so we do the same in the coach. Only here we make the bed backwards because we are also in a slide alcove: instead of starting at the foot and smoothing the covers up to the head, we start at the head, position the sheet nicely and work down to the feet. This is done while on the bed. Then we climb back on and do the same with the bedspread. Our 2 pillows and the 2 pillows with the matching shams are then placed at the head from the squeeze around sides. Takes five minutes and it brightens up the place!

After a few years of struggle to make our walk around queen every morning, we tried something new this year. We simply abandoned the top sheet, instead opting to just use our washable puffy comforter as our cover. This made a huge difference in both making the bed and overall comfort at night.

making the bed

I straighten the sheet and quilt when we get up to keep the kitty litter from being tracked into the bed by our three cats who would prefer that we don't make the bed. Me=1, cats=0.

Good Idea. Does the bed move much since now it is so slick and easy to pull down?

After all, we're not entertaining the Queen inside the coach, and since the dog sleeps on the floor, he doesn't care if the bed is made.
