If you are older, it is seriously worth looking at AARP's Hartford Insurance...I know AARP is a horrid socialist lobby group (and you can drop them...Hartford doesn't care) , but the rates are so good and they have been amazing in claims and service.

Something to consider; some insurers offer to lower rates during months you store the unit. Depending on other factors, such as what is actually covered (Refrigerator? Oven? Generator? Slides? etc.), and cost, remember that buying RV insurance is in some ways more like buying home insurance than car insurance.

Good Sam

Good sam when our travel trailer was stolen they paid the loan off inside 30 days and rembursed us for our things inside as well . the thing that did it for us was state farm telling us they would not cover damages unless it was hooked to the tow vehicle so if we were camping and a tree fell on it no coverage .

Obviously, we are the oddballs! I scanned all the previous postings and didn't see our firm listed.

We camp year-around in our 2015 Jayco WhiteHawk 25BHS; when not using it is is kept in an RV storage lot.
- We are USAA members but they sub-out their RV and motorcycle policies. Our 1985 Coleman pop-up is insured through them.
- We are AAA members with automotive Roadside Assistance, but that doesn't cover RVs.
- We have Foremost Insurance for the travel-trailer; the coverage is excellent and the rates (for where we live) are competitive. Check them out: https://www.foremost.com/products/travel-trailer/

Progressive

I used to have USAA for all my policies. But now I use Progressive for my travel trailer and motorcycle.

They were by far the best rate and better coverage. They offer full replacement and it includes Canada and Mexico

I insure my 2018 Class C with State Farm for $55/month. They are cheaper than Allstate for the same coverage where I insure my car.

I already had Allstate for all of my insurance needs (auto, homeowners, etc) and just added on a policy for the rig.
