Wow, that truly is a SAD sight. We went last weekend and are going two more times this month, after that not sure but usually do something in November and December. Right now it feels more like July here then October , near 90 with high humidity. But cooler air will arrive this weekend and I see some parts of the US/Canada are getting pretty cold now.

Yea, its 75 here today, dropping to 35 tonight and, according to the weather guessers here down into the 20's on Friday with a high of 43 on Sat. I don't want to have to wonder if I should have winterized sooner as the days get shorter.

We are entering prime camping season in Texas. I have at least 7 trips planned before New Years, possibly more.

As long as the roads are clear I plan on camping most weekends all year long. Friday after work I start a 9 day vacation. I can't wait. Autumn is my favorite time to camp. I do miss having running water once I winterize the water lines, and having to bring all of my hygiene and food stuff each weekend, but it is better than not camping.

This is some of the best camping weather - no bugs, great for campfires, etc.

We're in Minnesota and we are leaving on Sunday for a last week at a State Park along the Mississippi River bluffs to enjoy the colors changing.
