Do you, or anybody else who sees this, know if this will work ok with a 1997 Ford e-350 V10?

Also, does this include a user manual?

If you have a OBDII port then it should work.

"Should work" and "will work" are two different things. I don't want to put out $125 for something then find out it is incompatible because the red wire is in the wrong place, or some silly thing like that.

Mine works great on my ‘99 F-250. The Scanguage website says it works on 1996 and later vehicles with OBDII. Here’s their web site — the phone number is at the top. Why don’t you call them? https://www.scangauge.com/products/scangauge-ii/

Moderators Note:

Good evening all. Just a quick note. In order to protect the OP's privacy, I have removed their personal phone number from the thread. Also, I have asked them to create an official ad in the Classified Section of the forum for this item.

Ordinarily, we would close a for sale ad in the open forum. But, I'm going to leave it open for a while to give the OP time to create an ad and also allow some of the discussion and questions about the ScanGuage product to continue.

In the meantime, if you would like to discuss anything specific about the sale of this item, please do so via PM and not in the open forum. You may continue any general discussion about the ScanGauge use, functionality, etc. here in this thread. I will make additional adjustments once the OP creates their official ad.

Thanks for your understanding.

A little bit about scan gauges, there are cheap ones and very expensive ones. All he cheap ones will read codes for the OBD2 engines/cars with the exception of some European vehicles. At the next price level it does something called bi-directional. That allows you to set parameters, example you can switch solenoids on/off or even blow the horn. Most of these show data results in graph format and some show detail about the code fault. And then the very top level scanners will do all of the above except they can program the key FOB for many cars.

Thanks Joey55. 72buickgsconv, who has not been heard from since the original post, identifies it as a Scangauge 2 which Sangauge calls II. Looking at the web site provided by LuckyDuck, at first, I could not find anything except marketing crap. I kept clicking and boring down and eventually found technical stuff. Unfortunately, too technical. They use abbreviations that may be common to mechanics and engineers, but not much help for a layman like me.

In short, of the features you described, which can I expect from a ScanGauge II. I am mostly interested in engine coolant and transmission temperatures.

I’m no gearhead but the SG II is straightforward and easy to set up and customize. You can have four gauges displayed at a time, choosing from some 15 readings. I monitor ECT (coolant), EOT (oil), TFT (tranny) and BST (boost), but can easily toggle to others like voltage or horsepower. Their web site lists all the options.

Having played around with ODBII stuff, I'm confident that coolant temperatures will be available. It looks like a PID that's been around awhile. Tranny temps I'm not so sure. You may want to call the vendor and ask, if that's important to you.

What I'm driving at is that the older the vehicle is, the less information that comes form it's ECU. The newer the vehicle, the more sensors and computers and the more data that's available to a tool like ScanGauge.

You can buy them brand new today for less than $150 — might be better then buying a used one. Just sayin’.
