Thank you for sharing your experience. I definitely won't pay more than I'm willing to, especially without some kind of warranty. I know as soon as you drive off the lot with a new one it's not worth what you just paid for it. I'll know more after I actually look at and sit in one. This model was not even on my radar. Just trying to evaluate all my options and get input from people who have been there done that. I have a tendency to over analyze. My husband just bought what he wanted. I'm learning to make my own decisions and try to live without fear. Losing your long time spouse does that to you. I always thought I was an independent can do person and I'm trying to get that person on board again. Probably shared too much.

Prairelu, feel free to email me at pamanc@me.com
This was our first RV and I can share with you what we learned over the past 12 months. I analyze too, Tom is more trusting in what the salesperson tells him [emoji6]. I agree it would be a great size for you to travel, we bought the Melbourne on the Sprinter chassis because the ride was much smoother than the other options in our opinion. I am very comfortable behind the wheel.

Very comfortable to drive and camp in. No problems with slide, but I paid for cover over slide because I camp under trees and I don't want to get up to clean off top of slide.

Great idea but this one seems a little over priced.

How expensive is a cover, if you don't mind sharing?

About $1000 for the cover, parts and labor.

We looked for three years, and our 2017 Melbourne 24K fell in our lap. We were interested in the Winnebago View 24g, which was way out of our price range unless we bought used. We really wanted new. We found our Melbourne on a Camping World lot. It had been purchased and licensed but never driven off the lot. A man purchased it without his wife...when she saw it, she had other ideas. CW sold it to us with the 2-year warranty but as "used" since it had been licensed - $72,000. We'd never even heard of a Melbourne and had no experience with Jayco. There are deals out there. The K has really good storage...can't speak for the L. I've made a list a mile long of things the Melbourne has that the pricey View lacks! We love it. Good luck with your purchase.

Make sure it doesn't vibrate when you drive, if it does tell them you want the OEM wheels when the chassis was delivered to Jayco. They look good.
