Selkirk International loop
Having just finished a motorhome trip in northern Idaho & BC Canada, thought I would share.
We live in the northwest (Baker City Or) so mountain trips are right up our alley.
We drove to St. Maries Idaho Where we stayed our second night and then drove up the St. Joe river, which is a very pretty drive and is about 70 miles to the Rockies. Going over the pass to I-90 on the Montana side includes about 14 miles of very well maintained gravel road. From there to Hwy 200 & 2 & 37 on the Clark Fork river to Libby Mt. with a stop at the Kootenai Falls and across the border into B.C to Roosville where we camped at the Koocanusa lake. On to Cranbrook, Creston, north east side of Kootenay lake Hwy 3A where we crossed by ferry to Balfour, Nelson & Castlegar where we camped at Syringa park on the upper end of the Columbia river. From there headed back into Idaho with a little of Washington & the Coeur d' Alene and home. I left out a lot of detail & descriptions to shorten this up, but very pretty trip. If you google this, look for the Selkirk International loop road.
