Seneca - Aftermarket Window Awnings

Seriously considering an aftermarket window awning for my living room slide on my FS. Would appreciate any reccs, gotchas, etc. from anyone who has tackled this (brand, installation issues, road noise issues, etc). From what I can see on the internet, it seems to be a reasonable DIY job.

Thanks!

I put the CAREFREE window awnings on every unit we've owned starting in 1977 including out 2001 DESIGNER MH and our 08 SENECA. Never noticed any road noise after the installs. As you said it is a simple straight forward DIY job. Just be sure you follow the directions and pull the spring lock cotter keys at the right time.

We have the 37FS and have a big awning over the 2 windows of the driver's side slide. A small one over the bathroom, a small one over the back window and a large one over the upper bunk windows of the passenger side slide.

Had them put on at our dealership, MH2GO in Grand Rapids. They are great and really help with the Sun. They get pulled out as we setup and go in on our tear down. I do put them in if heavy wind or storms are forecasted for overnight.

I have a Carefree that covers the two windows on my TS driver side slideout. I chose the model that matches my main awning fabric (Charcoal) and has similar arms and an aluminum cover too. You can see it in the attached picture. Very happy with it!

Thanks to all for your inputs. Looks good in your picture Rob and I like the charcoal color. Time to take some measurements.
