Seneca Damaged From Dealer

We are looking at a new Seneca which was damaged by the dealership. The only reason I noticed the damage was some hairline cracks on the rear cap midway up on passenger side and some trim broken on the connection of the cap. They are willing to warranty the work for as long as I own the unit. Anyone think buying this is a bad idea? What else would you look for?

The price

I'd have to take a long look at the price of this unit versus one w/o damage. Even if they fix the damage 100%, I don't think they should be price equally. Are they offering the unit at a discount?

What I'd do...

That seems ok, but.....

Take this for what you're paying for it.....

I'd call a few dealerships and request a bottom dollar out the door price quote for the same coach, options, paint, etc. Then you'd know how good that price is.

Go on the build site and see what MSRP is.
30-34% off MSRP is common.

I would have to be in the 40% off MSRP before considering.

Some threads on Fiberglass and cap work has to be done at Factory. Not uncommon to take 6-8 weeks for warranty work like that.

I do not know the value of the MH. Our dealer found a crack on our HTT, while replacing a decal. They sent it to a fiberglass repair center, fixed it right up, I cannot even find the damage. The repair was fabulous.

If you can get them to drop the price enough, and the unit I wanted, I would jump all over it.

My current Pickup truck had a dent in the roof when I looked at it at the dealer lot (brand new). I convinced the dealer to repair it, and knock a lot off the price. The truck is 9 years old and you cannot even tell the roof was repaired.
