Finally got tired of messing with hoses while watching friends with hose reels just wind them up and me done so ordered one when we got back from our last trip. I know the wet bay can be different between floor plans but I am guessing the position I mounted mine in might be similar in other models. Now I removed the macerator as I didn’t like using it but this location would still work even if it was still there, might just have to remove it to get the hose reel in there. Being I had removed the macerator, I just used the wiring for it for the hose reel. I had already modified my wet bay some but after a few uses, made it even better to my likings. I added a divider panel to separate the waste from the fresh side, made a new bracket for the water filter as it was already broke and moved it into the fresh water side. The sewer dump has a 3’ hose that drops out the hatch on the sewer side so all connections are done outside the bay. I moved the valve for the black tank flushers (RB has 2 black tanks) up into the Nautilus panel and moved the fresh water hose hookup to the fresh side. Mounted a standard shower hose and head where the quick connect coiled hose was so we could leave it connected and with a shower head mount on the door, use it to wash grandkids off or the dog. I relocated the quick connect hose fitting on the face of the panel so I could use it to rinse things with more pressure than a shower head and finally put in some LED light strips both in front and rear of the main panel.
For the hose reel, it sat half on the step up part of the bay so I made a bracket that supported the overhang and bolted to the top and face of the plastic bay....fit like a glove. Wired it up using the harness from the macerator using the old macerator switch as a main switch for the reel and then made a panel for the switch that came with the reel as it had its own circuit board with relays attached in a box so I made the panel so I could have a cutout big enough to get the box through and be flush mounted instead of screwed to the side of the bay. I took the original outlet hatch for the hose and cut it off and modified it with a roller guide so I can easily just pull the hose out through the bottom of the bay. Very happy with it now and as you can see, I’m particular about my wet bay
