2018.5 s2rv seneca engine indicator lamp on, 12,000 mi. changed both fuel filters (wal-mart parking ) dash lamp still on,any ideas? or suggestions

If its this light it is the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) and the manual says that the issue is emissions related and the "Vehicle may still be operated until scheduled service". The info is on page 1-42 of the Cummins B6.7 Owners Manual.




As you can see mine came on with under 1,500 miles. I did take the coach on a 859 mile trip with it on, based on the manual's statement, but I will schedule an appointment with the Freightliner dealer down the street in a week or two.

I have 3 engine lights. There is the MIL, there is the Check Engine Light, and there is the Stop Engine Light.

For me the coach is non-essential right now since we are under Virginia's Stay at Home order so it can wait a few.

We had that light come on a couple of years back... When it did - I panicked and pulled over and shut it down right away. I pulled the manual out like Rusty did and verified that I was looking at the right light... The manual stated that we could continue to operate and continue on our way -we did.

About 50 miles further down the road, the light shut off - we have never seen it since!

thank you ea3ts and slopoke for your help. this is what happened. called cummins and was told to go to nearest shop(1 mile away)arrived am , trouble was told def coolant control valve was faulty. replaced under warranty(1000$) running great on the road back to mi from az pulling 10,000 trailer life is goodthanks again

Thanks for coming back with the issue and problem. When things get settled down a bit I'll make an appointment to take mine in to the Freightliner dealer about 3 miles from the house.

Ours was DEF related - the codes were inactive but the light remained on - $375.00 later the Freightliner dealer cleared the codes and turned the light off ( no repairs needed ) Les
