We just moved our water tank to the roof and have a gravity feed system. Always on and no need for a pump and switch’s and all that complicated stuff.

Thanks for the feedback from everyone! I thought I was doing something wrong leaving the pump on all the time (except when we leave).

We also get much better and more consistent pressure from our pump/fresh tank than we do at most campgrounds. Perhaps the brass regulator I use is a bit to restrictive.

We do always filter the water when filling our fresh tank.

Fresh tank on the roof?...Hmm, that seems like a lot of weight bouncing around up there. Our 42 gallon tank would weigh-in at about 336 pounds. Your roof must be much stronger than ours.
