Seneca - flash to pass

My “flash to pass” is only working if I have the headlights already on.
I thought it worked any time but maybe I’m wrong...

Will your flash to pass work with your headlights off ??

Not sure if maybe I’m not remembering correctly or if something is wrong with mine.

I’m sure Freightliner could program that smart switch for that function for a fee. I guess they expect you to drive with the headlights on.

I run with my lights on all the time. I figure the lights will help people see me in case they cant see the 60 ft long by 13 ft high britely painted rv coming down the road

With the limited number of hours we drive I think the lights life will not be affected.

Totally agree, lights are the last thing we check before we start the day driving and checked almost every time we stop and usually one of the last things shutoff when we have reached our destination. Daytime running lights many times do not include marking or tail lights on smaller vehicles. We do it purely as a safety item and after almost 80,000 miles in 5 years, have only replaced one side fender marker on the cab.
