Seneca Freightliner Interior LED’s
My 2014 FS does not have LED’s for interior lights. I would like to change to LED’s for battery economy and lower heat load. I’ve read the posts I could find on the forum. I realize there might be two approaches; replace existing bulbs with LED replacements, or replace the existing fixtures with puck or flush mount fixed LED fixtures. For those of you that have dealt with this, which way did you go, and why? What source, brands, and models did you use? What has been your level of satisfaction with your selection?
Finally, how do you remove the lens on the ceiling lights? I tired Turing the lens, but it feels like the whole fixture is trying to turn. Advice?

Not a Seneca, but I swapped out my incandescent bulbs to LED around 2014. Not sure what you have for light fixtures, but mine you just give a little squeeze and slide the cover off. Your higher end Seneca may have different fixtures.
I used 48 LED boards. Bought on E-Bay from a China supplier. I bought a couple to play with. Then placed an order to replace them all. If you search, you may find them for about $1.50 or so each with free shipping.
I bought a few extra thinking from China I might have issues, not one has been a problem. OK, maybe one issue the "3M" adhesive shriveled up and did not stick long. I found an adhesive for heat sinks, and that has worked great.

My 2014 TS came equipped with LED lights in the ceiling fixtures. The round glass lenses unscrew counterclockwise, I've had them all off for cleaning. The pendant light over the dinette is also LED, as is the wall light between the dinette and our big sofa. The lights inside my unit that weren't LED were the shower and main bed reading lights, but I converted them early on in my ownership. I also changed over all the compartment lights down below.
Mine was an early build 2014, I am surprised to hear yours are not LED. I wonder why they would have changed? I thought I remember it was an advertised selling point.

Are you asking about the lights in the cab of the Freightliner? or in the Seneca?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I meant the coach interior lights, not the cab.

Maybe I have it wrong. When I saw the bed reading lights were not LED I assumed none of them were. Next time I pull it from storage I’ll check closer. When I attempted to remove a ceiling light lens by turning it counter clockwise it felt like the whole fixture was going to turn rather than the lens only. I was fearful of ruining the ceiling mount do I stopped. Is there some trick to it? Thanks!

All of my ceiling light lenses were tight, I found pushing up on the lens to compress the padded ceiling before turning did help. All of mine now come off and go back on without incident. Just make sure you get them fully seated when they go back on, my first time driving after cleaning I hit a bump and one dropped onto the couch. Good thing no one was sitting there, a head shot wouldn't have been good. They are heavy!

Thanks Robert. I’ll give the lens removal a good go next week when I bring the rig home for a day to install my shift cable isolation kit. Wish me good luck. When I had it home last week I went under to scope out the project. The part of the tranny where the cable is located on the driver’s side is pretty wide open. I’m hoping for an uneventful installation. 😎

The RV Geeks have a discount code for M4 LED products.

As I opened the living room slide today we heard a loud cracking sound. After an exhaustive search we discovered that one of the interior coach ceiling LED lenses fell on top of the slide and was crushed as the slide was extended. I was relieved to see this was all it was but now I have a crushed led lens.
I’ve been searching Amazon and other sites for a replacement with no luck. Anyone able to provide some guidance on search for a replacement.

I had two fall off. One over the TV which did not fall on a slide but did fall on the floor. One over the bedroom slide fell on the slide. I got lucky this one didn’t break when I let the slide out, it went outside under the slide seal.
