Seneca Headlight upgrade

Anyone upgrade the Seneca headlights ?
Mine are not very bright and even when adjusted they do not offer great visibility when driving at night.

Would like to find a simple replacement if posible.... but still want something that works better.

I went with OPT7 LED bulbs for both the high and low beams. Dramatic improvement over the stock halogen bulbs. My 2014 M2 uses 9006 bulbs for the low beams and 9005 bulbs for the high beams.

Several of us have found out our headlight's aiming was way off from the factory so you might want to start there whether you upgrade your bulbs or not.

Which OPT7 is best for easy fitment and function ?
Do the require cutting and splicing or are they plug and play ?

OPT7 has options :
- Fluxbeam X LED
- Fluxbeam LED
- Fluxbeam Core LED

Can anyone confirm the 9005 and 9006 that fit the 2014 are also the correct ones needed for the 2018 ?

I have the Fluxbeam X in my low beams and the Fluxbeam LED in my high beams.

I also have Fluxbeam LED fog light bulbs in my Freightliner fog lights. Those fog lights really light up the area between the front end and where the regular headlights hit the ground. Very helpful on back roads when traveling 40 mph or less, not so much at freeway speeds.

I am certain the same headlights are in all of the M2 Senecas but I cannot say whether the S2RV chassis uses the same headlights.

Forgot to add they are 100% "plug and play", unplug the original bulbs, remove, install new LED bulbs, plug original Freightliner connection into Fluxbeam's harness. They do have a driver module which fits easily into the headlight housing.

The Fluxbeam models are all plug and play, can't say about any other manufacturers.

I never got around to adding the vents like you did and havent had any problems with heat and have done some long night drives but I do carry the old bulbs just in case there are issues or if a certain officer does not like my "Aftermarket" LED lights.

Same here and I usually drive with my lights on during the daytime. No problems.

Just ordered directly from Opt 7. Same price as Amazon and free shipping. Plus agent extended coupon code EMAIL10 for 10% first order.

Besides price, is there a reason for using the FluxBeam in the high beam, and the FluxBeam X in the low beam?

When I bought mine they only had the 5000K which are bright white. I would order the same today, I'm not a big fan of the blue/white color of the 6000K.

I went with the 6k myself. They are bright and no blue tint to them at all. Here is a pic of the Opt7 on the right and factory bulb on the left. Aiming in definitely important as they were WAY off from the factory.

If halogen, maybe able to just change bulb, may also have 2-3 upgrade options above standard for EXTRA $$
