Seneca motorhome park brake alert

Traveling home today in our 2018 Seneca motorhome and about 10 miles from home. The interior lights between sun visors started coming on and off along with a very loud beeping
The dash was showing parking brake not on and of course since we were driving down the highway it was not on. We pulled over and put vehicle in neutral and set air brake and then released the brake but beeping would not stop and lights kept flashing
Anyone have any ideas. Unit has about 4,000 miles

Sometimes some crazy electrical things can happen when system voltage gets too low... Use a multimeter and see what your battery voltage is at with the engine off, then start it up and see if the alternator is charging. A properly charged battery should yield about 12.7 volts, and with the engine running you should see 13.5 or more. Also check your grounds to the frame.

Could also involve the leveling jack controls or safety switches.

Leveling jacks can mess up everything. I could not get my transmission to shift into drive one time. Long story short, powered on jacks, hit retract all, some noise, a buzz, now the transmission will shift into drive.

In 2018 early builds were built on the Freightliner M2 chassis while laters ones were built on the S2RV chassis, do you know which one you have? On some S2RV chassis there is a known problem of the Freightliner dash and lights doing strange things like staying on or flashing, here are a couple threads about it.

If it is the M2 Chassis it could be a simple issue that we had on our 2017 Seneca. Got about 2 hours into our trip when the same thing happened. Found the issue to be the wife's door was not shut completely and it took that long bouncing along the highway for it to loosen up to set the alarm off. Just a thought. Weirder things can and have happened in an RV
