Although not a curtain, these will keep light and heat out....

We are struggling with the same problem. Just don't really care for the curtain hanging from the over the cab bunk, however we may use it on colder nights to reduce the area we are heating. Have tried a couple of different sunshades. The ones we are currently using is 5 pieces of a sunshade called "Basix Magic Jumbo Shade", that we found on Amazon.com. We use 3 for the front window and one for each side window of the cab. They fold up to less than a foot diameter and are very easy to store, install or remove. As to how long they will hold up, we'll see.

We have the Heatshield front and side shields in gold and are effective and private. The Mylar crinkles when installing, but promise to last a long time. No 2016 model M2 cab yet. https://www.heatshieldstore.com/sun_...er/m2_cab/2015

An interior privacy curtain came with my 2015 36FK. Found it in one of the bedroom drawers. It clips on behind the driver and passenger seats and then stretches behind the visors. I have also added a MagneShade which mounts on the exterior for daytime privacy and sun protection.

We are in Las Vegas right now and I'm having one custom made tomorrow. The company comes right to your site and does it. He told me about 3-4hrs to make one. It will snap on the outside of the windshield and cab side windows. I will post some pics when it's done!

Kenny just got done and it looks great! Snaps on the outside and transforms the inside. He also made some wiper covers for me.
It's RV Sunshades and he is local in Vegas, been doing this for 15yrs.
1-866-751-9206 or Cell #775-910-9555. The material is very similar to
the pull down screens inside the coach except tougher, UV treated and
guaranteed from the manufacturer for 5yrs. He says you can expect to get at least 10yrs out of them. Oh, it took him 3hrs and the price was $400.

Noticeable difference in temp in the front of the coach. You could feel the heat just rolling in from the sun in the front before, much, much cooler now.

That looks like the set I had on my old class a. I wonder if he could make them and send them to me with install instructions

Mr.Oz, was it necessary to drill holes for the snaps?

Yes. The snaps are riveted and just a dab of silicone sealer in the holes to make sure no water intrusion. I looked at some he did 5+ years ago and they looked perfect.

Maybe. He says they are all custom so they fit perfect. I asked if he made templates so they could be easily duplicated. He said no. He sewed the up right here in front of me.

We bought these. They work great, suction cups hold them up very well. ?Have nad no problems with them coming loose. They fold nicely and have Velcro straps to keep them nice and neat while they are stowed away in the cabinet. Cost isn't bad either. http://www.cleanandcool.com/products...-window-covers. These are for the indies of the Freightliner M2.

Mr Oz, what technique do you use to attach top snaps esp on windshield? Can't envision that being too handy.

Just stand on the step while holding onto the side mirror, not a big deal.

Mr Oz,
Did they mount the snaps right into the exterior? I just got the heat shields in Gold and am pleased, but would love a camping exterior cover (like I had on my Class C before). Does this shield also provide privacy at night? (It appears see through to an extent like the sun shades in the windows). Would this be easy to do myself if I ordered the same thing from RV Sunshades?
Thanks,
Nick
