Seneca problem

We have a 2017 38 rb

Wife found an area on the floor that's wet. I removed the dinette cushion that backs up against the fridge and in doing so discovered several screws that were rusted. They are the ones in the floor that hold the cushions in place. The area is the outside corner that backs up to the fridge which I assume is the problem. I know my Winnebago had a drain hose that came out through the fridge vent. We've been in our rig for several months so if the fridge is leaking in some way the floor could have become saturated.

We discovered this only because we have taken out the dinette cushion leaving the table in place. We added a couple of wall cabinets for more storage and a couple of free standing chairs.

If you plan to do something like this be prepared to cover the wall that is behind the cushion. In several places Jayco used screws behind the fridge that were to long and they came through the wall.

We have a 2018.5 Seneca and I believe your fridge is in the slide where ours is not. My first thought is the water line that runs to the ice maker and being in the slide has to have some flexible joint or hose that moves with the slide. If you have a grill below the fridge, pull it off and have a look, that’s where our water line comes up it the fridge.

Thanks Rusty

Looking behind my fridge you can see the water line going straight down coming out under the slide. There is a low point drain there and the line running off under the slide. In back of the fridge there is a metal floor so I can't see if it is wet. Your right the 2017 has the fridge in the slide. We both know there is a reason that change was made.
