Seneca Regen

I'm approaching 10k miles on my 2017 and I was wondering about the regen process. Is it OK to initiate a regen even if there is no indication (dash light) that one is needed? I'm guessing that if I initiate earlier than required, the regen process will run but won't run as long. I would like to do it now instead of the light possibly coming on while I'm on the road next month. Thanks!

It does it automatically if you do highway speeds. Only if you do a lot of stop and go city driving. I have 31,000 on my 2016 Seneca and the light has never come on! It explains it better in your Cummins manual.

Thanks Mountain Cajun. Highway miles is about all I have done, so that explains it.

I'm at 10k and it's auto Regen, at least once. Mostly highway miles here.
