I drop a cheap curtain rod in the slot keeps the panel from moving. Actually easier to use then the clip they had on the unit.

They will send the parts to the dealer to give to you or have the dealer drop ship them to you. take your VIN and a picture of the broken latch to your dealer and tell them you want to order one under warranty. They should do this as I have done it on several broken parts and my local dealer has always gotten them for me.

Good tip.
I'll give it a try.

Good luck on your pick up.

Latch on our 2018.5 37K broke less than week after delivery. Not sure what caused but piece that secures in "open" position [all sides open] broke off. Made of plastic. Intend to replace when back for warranty but also interested in a better solution.

The red one in my pic I handmade after ours broke, I am working on making an aluminum/powder coated one to sell. Getting close to doing some test cuts soon, all drawn up in CAD now.

You must have a great dealer you work with... Our dealer will not order parts for warranty unless the RV is IN their parking lot, waiting for them to install it. No matter how long that wait might be. I have tried to get them to order the part and let me have my rig to use... after that happened, the part never came - EVER.

I do have a great dealer and it’s not even the selling dealer! Just a local small town RV business that sells Jayco trailersbut it does help to have known the owners for 20 years. I had originally emaile Jayco asking if they could ship the parts to me as both repairs would only take a minute and a Phillips screwdriver. Here is the reply if got from Jayco, maybe email them about your dealer.

Thank you for contacting Jayco customer service center. We don't ship part direct to customers but you can have the dealer order the parts needed. They can have the parts ordered to be dropped shipped to you so you don't need to go pick them up. Thank you.

I got so sick of that latch breaking and also the doors banging and rattling at every bump I removed the doors, frame, and channel and replaced them with an extend-A-Shower rod and shower curtain..... so much better. More room in the shower, got rid of 40lbs of glass, and the rattling.

Still looking for the shower door latch part number.
Unfortunately Jayco directs me to the dealer and the dealer wants me to bring it for a 3 week stay/repair....

I just want the part number to buy a new latch.
Anyone know the latch part number ?

Are your doors the curved ones? That latch looks more like mine!

I would like to get a complete set of hardware for the shower door, Knobs that go thru the glass and the flip-over-latch that keeps them together.

And yes, our worthless dealer is the same way, and it is a MINIMUM three week stay. I'd rather spend an extra $100 to keep it away from that dealership.

Have you tried any of the "RV Surplus" stores. I know there are a couple of them in the Elkhart IN. area and I am amazed at what they have in stock

I now have a replacement Aluminum one available and an ad is posted on the classifieds. This replacement is for the 3 FLAT panel sliding shower door that is in our 37RB and many other Jayco models.

Ordered the replacement lock bar from Rustynuts earlier this week and it arrived yesterday. Very professionally handled and shipped. This is not some knockoff hacked up in a garage like it would have been if made it myself. The latch looks and works great.

Thanks Rustynuts, my wife hated the bar we were using and is happy with the new latch.

How do you buy it??

I’m all in for this because I hold my breath every time I have to manipulate that plastic latch. How do I go about purchasing one from you Rusty?
