Seneca storage compartment ideas...

Moving things into the new Seneca it’s so nice having so much storage compared to our old Winnebago 26P. Having a hard time figuring out where to put things with all this new found storage! Would love to see how some of you that have had yours a while have done to keep organized. Totes, pullouts, just throw it in and slam the door?

The rb you have is different but in general we stock items that we use such as clothes and shoes in the first bay by the door. Then the next bay has chairs and table. Next is cooking equipment including the grill spatulas etc. The bay over the propane tank is almost useless but I did mount a locking key safe with a spare door/ignition key in it. Then fire wood or garbage depending on location. The small back bay is for the dolly and jack pads. On the driver side I keep items specifically for the coach. Tools, air compressor spare dolly tire etc. There is so much space in these that I haven’t gotten to being as organized as I should be. Half the time one or two bays are empty. We still have empty cabinets in the bedroom and entertainment center.

I use plastic storage bins as they stack nicely and keep everything neat. Eventually I might install pull out shelves as I hate crawling under the slides when they are out.

This trip out to EJS will be my first real test. Coming from a truck camper, this should be interesting.

We must carry a lot more stuff, because I try to use every space available. If you pull off the luan carpet covered back panels, you can find a lot more space. You need to organize and be careful of heating and plumbing fixtures, but there is a lot of space.

We look at overall storage from a broader perspective...

The golden rule here is: Heavy goes Low -- Light goes high... to keep the Center of Gravity low while travelling.

Next comes: If we need to get it often - it goes on the passenger (living side). If it is only needed once while at camp - it can go on the drivers side. Tools, oil, fluids, parts and emergency stuff is on the drivers side.

Then we take the approach of the Bar compartment (Beer Cooler and other adult beverages) are in the big compartment under the outdoor TV where everyone congregates. We have a compartment for our Kids stuff.. another for Frequently used /needed (insect spray, WD40/Silicone, Paper Towels, Flashlights and other Misc).

we also try to keep the REAL Heavy stuff in compartments in front of the rear axle as our steer axles have more capacity available.

With it loaded this way.. our rig handles excellent all the time. Even in cross winds and we have been just under 33,000 pounds since we left in November.

Awww rats.... We are pulling out that same Saturday. I have worked the vendor show too many years now, and getting out before the traffic and chaos starts.

I did the same thing. The plastics bottoms seem to sag quickly.
