Question Seneca water filter

I have a 2015 Seneca. The coach has a canister type water filter in the utility bay. Does this canister filter the water going into the fresh water tank or on the other side going to the faucets?

Thanks for your help.

Knowing how JAYCO does the manifold valves it probably filters both.

Thanks. When I hooked up a hose to the water tank fill inlet I "turned off" the inlet and outlet to the canister thinking I was bypassing the filter; no water flowed into the tank. I turned the inlet and outlet back on and water flowed. So it seems to me that, at least, the water going into the tank is being filtered. Do you agree?

Absolutely based on what you just posted.

That's exactly the way my 2014 Seneca works. I also added another filter inline on the hose so the water is filtered twice.

If you look behind the "control panel" in your utility bay, you will see that the CITY WATER CONNECTION (which fills BOTH the tank and/or "direct connect" to the faucets) goes from the connection point TO THE FILTER. The manifold is "downstream" of the filter. So no matter what the manifold settings are, connected water goes through the filter FIRST. Hope this helps... Now I'm trying to figure out how to BYPASS the water filter so I can winterize my 2015 Seneca - the filter did not come with a "bypass kit". Any ideas??

WeylanBryant, You can't necessarily "bypass" the filter. You have to remove the filter bowl and filter element, then replace the empty filter bowl before winterizing. Hope this helps.

I had a tough time today with my 2013 Seneca getting it winterized. I finally figured out that I had to put the filter bowl back on to get the pump to prime.

Does anyone have any better instructions for this crazy (and very poorly documented) water manifold? I had the dealer do it last year.

I will post some pics later and possibly start a new thread.
