Seneca Water Pump install issues

Hey Everyone! First time post for me. Me and my wife bought a 2014 Seneca last fall and have used it a few times. We upgraded from our 2014 Class C thor Chateau and absolute love it!

I took it out west last October to Idaho and unfortunately for me on the way home we got caught in a snow storm in the mountains for about 6-8 hours. Temps went from mid 40's to at one point -5 degrees. My water filter froze and cracked and my water pump also went bad.

I bought a new filter and pump and installed them a few days ago. When I do a city water hook up everything works great, sink, toilet and shower. I put some water in the holding tank and tried the water pump. The pump runs but I am not getting any water to the fixtures (no pressure). Not sure how long I need to run the pump before it fills the lines or if I have to fill the holding tank more but was wondering if anyone had any advice as to what I can try. I traced the lines as best as I could and cannot find any leaks or anything and no water is dripping anywhere so I am looking for some advice.

any info would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

Jon

Do you have the valves in the docking station set correctly? It can take a while for the pump to prime.

How much water in your tank? I have seen where the pickup is not near the bottom of the tank and it takes more water than you would think before it works.

Grumpy yeah I am almost 100% sure the valves are in the correct position but I will definitely check when I get home.

Houstonstroker - I will just fill the tank full when I get home, that could be the problem or maybe I am just not giving it enough time to prime like you said. Thanks for your comments.

Some times you can force water into the system. Hook up water supply for a water hose and then turn your pump on. This can eliminate the air in the system. Play with different valve positions. Also be sure the filter valves are not closed. They need to be open to allow.the flow to move

you also have valves on the water filter in the wet bay... make sure they are open to all ow water to flow thru that. We do what RVermont says all the time... it is like force priming the pump with water pressure and clears out the air pockets that Water Pumps don't deal with.

You mention that you replaced your filter too... That is a pain in the bottom to get all the air purged from... If that was not purged well,,, then you will have a lot of air to get out. A full FW (fresh water) tank has a lot of benefits to getting all the air purged out of the system, but it all still goes thru that water filter.

Another thought. On the city water connection, there is a hose washer. It should have an integrated screen. That screen needs to be outward. If it is inward, it is pushing on a check valve, and might be preventing the pump from drawing water from the FW tank.

That screen has caught me more then once and had me guessing what happened. So simple but oh so critical.

That check valve opens when the pump is pulling from a gallon jug for winteriizing that is why you flip the screen. If the valves are set correctly it would not even be in play.
