if you have never been to Quartzsite check it out (web site), town caters to ORV people. campgrounds are ORV jeep friendly also. We stay at Quail Run rv park ,$300.00 + elec. per mo. we like the asphalt roads in the park (no dust) nice stone campsite, lots of friendly off roaders. Big RV show in Jan

One of my concerns of backing jeep in is that I have a 75" clearance on the door and the jeep is 72" tall will the ramp angle create a problem of possible the jeep roof hitting?

i would worry about the jeep bouncing on it's suspension if things are that tight. even strapped to the frame, the straps tend to stretch some.

also as others have suggested i would put the right tongue weight on the hitch. i would think it better to have the jeep closer to the hitch. depends thpugh on where the axles are on the trailer. the heavy part of the jeep should be placed over the trailer axles as close as possible.

Great point, once jeep is inside trailer we have tight 4" clearance. Jeep is strapped down on e-track all four wheels strapped individually never thought about body roll all new ratchet straps so will check every 100 mi for a while to check on stretching. Door opening being 75" tall only left us an inch we were so happy to just get it in never thought any further, thinking 4" will be enough

We strap our FJC to our trailer using ratchet straps in an x pattern from all 4 corners of the frame to the trailer. It does not prevent all of the body roll, and we don't want the straps to take all of the suspension play away. We are on a 3" lift with a softer suspension than stock, so it does move around a bit even with being strapped to the frame.

We also have a DOT class binder chain to the rear axle to mitigate any forward travel in the event we encounter a catastrophic stop.

Does ours flex 4"??? Not sure, but I bet it could come close on some of the Interstate pavement in Texas and Florida.

Think that's the one I've seen with the huge DP's pulling dbl height enclosed trailers.

Plenty of off road trails in the area. Pretty much the main reason we would go to a Class A is to be able to haul a SxS and Jeep for use in AZ & CA.

We'll be back there mid Jan and hang around until early Feb. We stay up off Plomosa Rd.
