Sewer Hose Storage

Have 2012 Greyhawk DS. Has anyone made mods for hose storage? Sewer hose compartment is about 2ft long and terminated at frame rail.

Thanks Mike. Can't go under bumper because of car hitch, can't go on top because of rear door. Prob going to have to strap 4" post under coach. Was hoping Greyhawk 31Ds owners would respond.

I purchased a 4" elbow and cap and a stick of SDR35 pipe. I was able to turn 90 degrees to the rear and extend it by four feet. SDR35 pipe is a thin walled drain, waste, vent (DWV) pipe. Similar to what the existing hose tube is made of, and matches the outside diameter. Also, you must purchase 4" DWV fittings. The DMV elbow will have a long smooth sweep. Don't just purchase a 4" pvc fitting. I'll take some pics tonight. Works great.

cinandtim,

We have the 2011 31ds model. Our hose storage compartment is short but adequate. we can fit a compressed 10ft section of the "stinky slinky" fine. It sounds like bgermane has an excellent low cost mod that will alleviate your problem.

best wishes!

I just keep it in a storage tub with lid, in the rear compartment. All of the fittings go in another smaller tub which is in another compartment.I regularly bring the tubs home and fill them with water and bleach. Works great for us.
