I did not even have to remove anything to straighten the steps, which bent when I hit something tall underneath the motorhome........It is doable........

Well, I can attest to using a come-along and some chain to straighten your steps once they have been bent by a car backing into them!

Had to locate a nice sturdy tree in the neighborhood, get the RV turned around and close enough and then was able to use the winch to pull the steps to the right so now they open and close without binding.

That is not to say they look right. The bottom step angles down a little from the top one and if you look at both the main steel braces on each side, the one of the right has an obvious bend. I will try again sooner or later, assuming I can find something to wrap the pull chain around a little higher off the ground to try and get the steps to bend upwards a little. Course, driving up onto some playground to park next to a good jungle gym is probably out of the question!

Or I may try the idea of disassembly and hammering to see if I can get it straight.

Now that's using your head...and saved a pocket of money to boot!
