Shedding screws / door latch

2019 model year Greyhawk 30X coach with a 2018 Ford E450 chassis. Have had the unit about 2.5 years, using it once or twice a month for weekend getaways.

I find various screws in the coach or on the ground around the unit when camping, and put them in the cupholder area of the cab. Then every so often when poking around, I see an empty hole where the screw might have originated.

The latest was a machine screw found in the entrance stoop. Wasn't obvious where it originated. Put it in the cupholder for a month or so, and then noticed the main coach door latch was getting loose. Sure enough, three screws loose and one missing. The screen door frame covered the missing screw hole when the screen door was "attached" to the main door. Tightened up the loose 3, and added the 4th from the cupholder, and all is good again.

I wish I was surprised at how many screws could be loose.

My 6YO son actually alerted me to that very same problem. I keep a screwdriver in with the silverware specifically for this. I've had to tighten those screws in the door handle every few months, and even found one on the floor like you did.

One day maybe I'll remember to put a dab of Loctite on them...

In the meantime, my kid continues to find loose screws for me to tighten all over the place... Nothing like a constant earthquake to loosen a few screws, and I'm not even counting the ones in my head...
