Shower Faucet handles blown out

We have not used our 2005 Granite Ridge in a couple of years. We are going through the camper fixing one thing at a time. I recently hooked up the water in city mode with a 1/4 turn from our outside house faucet.

The shower head leaked so I replaced it with one from an RV store that shuts off at the shower head. Now I am finding that the shower handles do not work at all. I took the decorative handles off to see if the plastic nuts were worn and the nuts blew off and water free flowed from both hot and cold.

I guess I need to replace the base and the faucet handles. But I can't figure out how. I have attached a photo of the faucet base(stock but similar to ours) and a floor plan showing there is a cabinet behind the shower wall.

Any help is appreciated.

There should be an access panel in the cupboard behind the faucet.

I just inspected the closet with a flashlight and found the whole wall of the closet is the access panel, 4 screws later the wall panel is out and VIOLA I have plumbing.

Thank you, I would not have thought the whole wall inside of a closet would come out.
